How to Book Your First Scentsy Party

Your First Party Sets the Tone
Booking your first Scentsy party can feel intimidating, but it's simpler than you think. Parties are the foundation of a Scentsy business — they introduce people to products, generate sales, and often lead to more bookings. Here's how to make your first one happen.
Who to Ask First
Start with the people closest to you:
- Friends and family: They want to support you and are usually happy to host or attend
- Your own launch party: Many consultants host their first party themselves — invite everyone you know
- Coworkers: Office parties (even virtual ones) work great during lunch breaks
Don't overthink it. A simple "Hey, I just started something exciting and I'd love your support — would you be willing to host a party?" works with people who know you.
The Ask Script
If you need words, try: "I just started as a Scentsy consultant and I'm so excited about these products. Would you be open to hosting a virtual party? It's super easy — I do all the work, your friends shop from home, and you earn free Scentsy products as a host reward. What do you think?"
Virtual vs. In-Person
Virtual (recommended for your first): Lower barrier for both you and the host. No cleaning the house, no food, no logistics. Works great on Facebook groups or Zoom. Runs over 3-7 days for a Facebook group party, or 30-60 minutes for a live event.
In-person: More personal, and people love smelling products in real life. But it requires more planning. Save this for when you're more comfortable, or if the host prefers it.
How to Prepare
- Confirm date and format with your host
- Create the event/group — your sponsor or upline can help with the first one
- Prepare your product showcase — whether it's posts for a Facebook group or products for an in-person display
- Plan games and giveaways — simple engagement activities keep the energy up
- Have your website link ready — so people can browse and order easily
During the Party
- Be enthusiastic but authentic — share why you love the products
- Answer questions honestly — "I don't know but I'll find out" is perfectly fine
- Don't pressure anyone to buy — let the products speak for themselves
- Thank everyone for attending, whether they purchase or not
After the Party
- Thank the host personally and discuss their rewards
- Follow up with attendees — ask if they have questions
- Ask if anyone wants to host their own party (this is how your calendar fills up)
- Note what went well and what you'd improve for next time
Your first party won't be perfect — and that's completely fine. The goal is to get it done, learn from it, and build from there. Every successful Scentsy consultant started with one party.
As an Independent Scentsy Consultant, results vary. Party sales depend on attendance, engagement, and other factors.
